PlayStation 4 is hacked to run Linux and Pokémon

Knowing that the PlayStation 4 is approaching a PC in terms of amenities, it is normal for hackers to consider it as such. The group Fail0verflow managed to bypass restrictions set up by Sony on its home console to do what he wants.

Hackers were able to install the Linux operating system, an operation that is not even imaginable to the public. Linux is normally intended for computers. Moreover, they managed to launch a Game Boy Advance emulator to play Pokémon. A real Game Boy Advance has also been connected to the PlayStation 4 to control the character of the game in the emulator.

With the installation of Linux, setting up an emulator and the ability to connect a Game Boy Advance acting controller, Fail0verflow shows its capabilities. The band proves that he has full control of Sony's home console and can do what he wants.

Installing Linux could already be made on the PlayStation 3, but Sony had removed this functionality quickly enough. Fail0verflow wanted to show his various talents by putting in place the PlayStation 4 and going even further.
